DMIT stands for Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test. Dermatoglyphics, derived from ancient Greek words “derma” meaning skin and “glyph” meaning carving. It is a scientific study associated with fingerprint patterns and brain lobes. This helps in understanding unique inborn potential and personality.
DMIT has long been developed by scientist Dr. Howard Gardner, who gave the “Theory of Multiple Intelligences” in 1983, which has been widely accepted all over the world and improved on by various medical experts including Nobel laureates like Roger W SPERRY ( Nobel Prize in 1981 for Physiology and Medicine for his work with split-brain research). The theory of multiple intelligences challenges the idea of a single intelligence , where human beings have one central “computer” where intelligence is housed.
Howard Gardner says that every human being is born with eight intelligences which have different levels of strength.
